African Wildlife

You are not born in Africa, but Africa is born in you. I had the privilege to travel many countries in my youth even before I turned 18. But the beauty of the African continent is something unforgettable. The first time you step on African soil is a lifetime worth of experiences and as I started out with wildlife photography this one brings back the greatest memories. For any person who has not had the opportunity to explore this astonishing continent should plan something for the future.

Either way if you are planning to visit the sandy north, the Mediterranean climate of South Africa or the deep Rainforests of central Africa anywhere there are things to discover. My first trip brought me to Namibia where I discovered my love for photography. I was around 15 years old that time and while I used my father’s camera most of the time, I quickly got the hang of it.

After a three week long road trip which included the Etosha National Park in the north of the country we decided to head towards South Africa which showed us its own beauty. South Africa was a lot greener and even though I wouldn’t visit Kruger National Park until 3 years later we discovered the entire Western Cape including the Garden Route. I was lucky enough to spend 3 more years in the country I started to love very much.

In these years I still visited the local high school in Hermanus where I took every possible opportunity to take some wildlife images. My interest also grew when I started practicing nightscapes and Landscapes in general. After I turned 18, I also started doing my own road trips with the only result in my head in getting and capturing some beautiful images. I still try to return to the African continent ever now and then when time allows it and as I haven’t been there in over 2 years, I am really starting to get some withdraw symptoms.

My current studies on becoming a veterinary doctor in Budapest are hindering me though and as time will allow it I shall return to the amazing Wildlife and Nature of the African Continent.

Either way this is a small collection of some of my favourite moments of my Wildlife Photography Carrer. All of theses images were taken in the wild. Mostly in the Okavango Delta of Botswana which is a heaven and refuge for all animal species.
